Have you attended a Karen Brown Coloured Pencil workshop and ready to take the next step? This workshop is designed to help you build confidence and turn techniques into finished drawings. We’ll explore composition, learning to truly see, choosing the right pencil to start, and understanding why a drawing sometimes doesn’t look right - and how to fix it before frustration takes over.

Bring a work in progress or a natural object, your previous coloured pencil attempts, and your questions. Together we’ll review your work in a supportive, practical way, helping you recognise what’s working and what needs adjustment so you can keep moving forward.

About the Artist

Karen is a coloured pencil artist living and working in Albury NSW. She specialises in reproducing close-ups of our natural world and entices the viewer to examine and appreciate nature’s detail. Her works hang in both private and public spaces.

What to Bring

- Materials from your previous Karen Brown Coloured Pencil workshop (a list can be provided upon request if you no longer have all materials)
- A visual diary
- A work in progress or an object from nature to draw
- Any samples of previous coloured pencil drawing attempts
- A snack and a drink
