Workshop Details

Join artist Kasey Sealy for an immersive two-day oil painting workshop designed to help you create work that truly captivates. This 2 day workshop focuses on the essential rules and stages of painting, guiding you through composition, tonal values, and the use of light to build mood and atmosphere. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how a painting comes together - from the first wash to the final detail - while developing confidence in your own creative process.

Throughout the workshop, Kasey will demonstrate practical techniques including colour mixing, the use of brushes and palette knives, turpentine washes, and the balance of soft and hard edges. You’ll learn how to use lights and darks to create strong focal points and bring energy and cohesion to your work, finishing with those subtle touches that make a painting feel complete.
