Workshop Details

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a weekend of sketching outdoors and discover the creative challenge of Inktober - the global drawing event that inspires artists to create every day throughout October.

In this immersive two-day workshop, you'll develop the skills and confidence to sketch directly from life while exploring a variety of drawing and mixed media techniques. Through demonstrations, guided exercises and practical outdoor sessions, Amanda will help you loosen up, observe more closely and capture the world around you with expressive, confident marks.

Throughout the weekend you'll explore:

Mark making and shading techniques
Tonal sketching
Landscapes and buildings
Faces and people
Sketching on location (en plein air)
Tips and inspiration to prepare for the Inktober drawing challenge

Whether you're new to sketching or looking to build a regular creative practice, this workshop is a fantastic opportunity to improve your observational drawing skills and fill your sketchbook with fresh ideas.
