Workshop Details

Dive into the expressive world of watercolour painting with artist Kasey Sealy, an experienced instructor with decades of teaching and creative practice behind him. This two-day workshop is designed to unlock the unique qualities of watercolour - from fluid washes and vibrant colour mixing to managing light, tone, and atmospheric effects.

You’ll learn how to:
- Choose and handle watercolour materials, paper, brushes and pigments
- Mix colours confidently and use washes effectively
- Create depth and mood through tonal values and transparent layers
- Balance lights and darks to place focal points and nurture dynamic compositions

Whether you’re a beginner or want to refresh your skills, Kasey will guide you step-by-step through the joyful process of watercolour painting, helping you build confidence and create expressive landscape work.

About the Artist

Kasey Sealy is an Australian oil painter who began painting at 17 and has worked professionally since 1980. His career spans more than four decades and includes six solo exhibitions in London, representation at major international art fairs, and record-setting sales for large-scale works.

Kasey has completed high-profile commissions for international business leaders and organisations, authored two books on painting, produced multiple educational films, and regularly contributes to leading art publications. A former lecturer at Charles Sturt University, he now focuses on workshops and tutorials across Australia while continuing to draw inspiration from the Australian landscape. His work is grounded in an impressionist approach, capturing mood, light, and atmosphere with honesty and immediacy.
